Privacy Policy
What this website collects, how advertising cookies work, and the choices you have. Short version: we collect almost nothing.
Last updated: September 4, 2026
1. Who we are
ZazGames ("we", "us") operates the website squishy-butter.com and the game Squishlab: Butter Squishy. This policy explains what information this website collects, how it is used and the choices you have. It applies to squishy-butter.com and to the browser version of the game played on it.
The Android app has its own section in the ZazGames privacy policy, which also covers ZazGames.com. Our contact address for anything in this policy is [email protected].
2. What this site collects
Squishy-butter.com has no accounts, no login, no newsletter and no comment system. We collect as little as a website can:
- Server and CDN logs. Like every website, our hosting provider and our content delivery network (Cloudflare) record technical data for each request: your IP address, browser type, operating system, the page requested, the referring page and the time. These logs are used for security, to stop abuse and to keep the site fast. They are kept for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised.
- The "Do you like this game?" vote. When you tap thumbs up or down on the home page, we store a one way hash of your IP address so that each visitor counts once. A hash cannot be turned back into your IP address, and no cookie is set. Only the total percentage is ever shown.
- Game progress. Your coins, unlocked skins and settings are saved in your own browser's storage on your device. They are never sent to us. Clearing your browser data deletes them.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep the message for as long as needed to answer it.
We do not run analytics scripts on this site and we do not use tracking pixels of our own.
3. Cookies and advertising
The game and the site are free because they show advertising. We use Google AdSense and Google's ad services for HTML5 games to show ads on this site and inside the browser game. To do that:
- Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or to other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a range of third party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info or, in Europe, at youronlinechoices.eu.
- How Google uses information from sites that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for your consent before personalised ads are shown, and you can change that choice at any time from the ad choices option in the game. Where you do not consent, you still see ads, but they are not based on your interests.
You can delete existing cookies and block new ones in your browser's settings at any time. The site works without cookies.
4. Embedded content and third party services
- The game. The browser game loads in a frame from zazgames.com, our own site, and is covered by this policy and the ZazGames policy linked above.
- YouTube videos. Gameplay videos are embedded through youtube-nocookie.com. YouTube only sets cookies once you press play. Google's privacy policy applies: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Amazon links. Some blog posts contain Amazon affiliate links. If you click one, Amazon may set cookies to attribute a purchase to us, and we may earn a commission. We do not see what you buy or who you are. Amazon's privacy notice applies on their site.
- Google Play and social links. Links to Google Play, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and X take you to those services, which have their own policies.
5. Children
The game is suitable for all ages, but this website and the game are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Ads shown to visitors we believe to be under the age of consent are non personalised. If you are a parent and believe your child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to a data protection authority. This includes rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act. We do not sell personal information.
Because we hold almost no data, most requests are answered by explaining that we have nothing on file about you. To make a request, email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days.
7. Sharing and retention
We share data only with: our hosting provider and CDN, who process server logs on our behalf; advertising partners, principally Google, as described above; and authorities where the law requires it. We never sell your data.
We keep data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for. Technical logs are kept for a limited period. Vote hashes are kept while the vote feature exists. Emails are deleted once the matter is closed, unless we need to keep them for legal reasons.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS only, and the little data we do hold is stored on access controlled servers. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take reasonable measures to protect what we hold.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes are announced on the home page.
10. Contact
Questions about privacy: [email protected], or use the contact page.
